Mindfulness plays a key role in the enjoyment of art and place. To deeply appreciate art and the places we inhabit, we must be present and open to taking in colors, textures, and shapes. Equally important is an awareness of the feelings that these images and places evoke. Through gentle movement, deep breathing, and brief meditations, participants will practice present-moment awareness and will engage with art and place. These same skills of presence, acceptance, and awareness are requisites for living life fully. Take home simple mindfulness strategies designed to enrich your life each day. The series is suitable for all adults. Participants need not have any previous experience with mindfulness or movement to benefit from the series.
